There’s something about a wedding by the water that feels instantly magical. As an east coast girlie, I’ve always had a soft spot for beach weddings, but S + C’s celebration at a family home at The Gurnet in Plymouth, Massachusetts, was something so special.

It was our very first time bartending at The Gurnet, a tucked-away seaside community with breathtaking views, and we fell in love with the setting. From the heartfelt words during toasts to the epic dance moves that carried late into the night, it was the perfect mix of intimacy, fun, and good vibes. It gave the drink a tropical edge while still feeling sophisticated. Guests couldn’t stop talking about it, it was hands-down one of the most raved-about cocktails of the evening.

A nod to island classics, the Painkiller was a perfect second option. Made with rum, pineapple juice, orange juice, and cream of coconut, it was garnished with a pineapple leaf, dehydrated orange, and—yes—the cherry on top, a maraschino cherry. It was the kind of drink that fit right into a beach wedding vibe.
