Inside Unbuttoned: How We Built Three Bar Experiences for a Full Day of Wellness at Remedy Place Boston

"A networking event that give you the same euphoria as taking your bra off."

That's the tagline for Unbuttoned, and honestly, it tells you everything you need to know about the energy we were building toward. This wasn't a stiff, business card swapping kind of networking event. It was permission to unclip, unwind, and actually feel good while you connect with people. Once we read that tagline, we knew our bars had a job to do that went beyond pouring drinks. We needed to help create that exhale.
Some events ask you to show up with a bar. Unbuttoned asked us to show up with three.
When the team behind Unbuttoned started building out their vision for a full day of connection, movement, and mindful indulgence at Remedy Place Boston, Boston's stunning new Social Wellness Club in the Seaport, they didn't want one static beverage setup. They wanted the drinks to move with the day, unclipping a little more with every hour. Morning grounding. Midday nourishment. Evening energy. Three completely different bar experiences, each one built to match the emotional register of that part of the day, all under one roof.

This is exactly the kind of project we live for at The Wandering Pour. We're a mobile bar and beverage catering company built from the ground up in coastal Massachusetts, and we bring our bars everywhere from Peabody down through Boston, the South Shore, Cape Cod, and all the way to Provincetown, plus across Rhode Island. Unbuttoned gave us the chance to show what happens when a beverage program isn't an afterthought, it's woven directly into the architecture of the day.
And none of it comes together without the right people curating it. Huge kudos to Cat of Celebrations by Catalina and Tia for the vision behind this entire event. They built a day that actually felt like wellness from the first minute to the last, and it was such a joy to be part of it.
Here's how we built it, sip by sip.
Setting the Scene at Remedy Place

Guests walked into a room that already felt like an exhale. Lune Flower Farm filled the space with soft, seasonal florals that set the tone before a single drink was poured, and Katherine Donovan Photography was behind the lens all day, capturing every detail we're about to walk you through.

The day was documented in real time by Caroline Carleton Socials, and guests were welcomed into soft, inviting lounge seating from Kadeema Rentals. Everyone settled in for a breakfast spread from Edex Provisions that we are still thinking about. Those scones deserve their own paragraph, honestly. From the very first minute, this felt less like an event and more like an invitation to slow down.

And that's the moment our first bar came in.
Bar One: Nitro Cold Brew and Matcha on Yoshi

Once guests had a plate of Edex Provisions scones in hand and had settled into that Kadeema Rentals lounge seating, it was time for the day to actually begin, and we wanted the first sip to match everything Cat and Tia had already set in motion. For the morning, we brought in Yoshi, our 3.5 foot tap cart, and set it up to pour nitro cold brew and matcha on tap. This was the intentional, grounded start the day needed. No sugar rush, no chaos, just a smooth, deliberate way to wake everyone up and ease them into the wellness workshops ahead.

The cold brew poured with that signature nitro cascade and velvety, almost creamy texture that makes it feel more like a treat than a caffeine delivery system. Right next to it, our matcha on tap was made with oat milk, so guests with dairy sensitivities or plant-based preferences never had to think twice. Both were a hit, but if we're being honest, the matcha stole the show. There's something about a perfectly whisked, ice cold matcha on tap that makes people stop mid conversation and ask where they can get one for their own event.
This is exactly the kind of setup we love recommending for:
Bridal and wedding showers
Baby showers
Brunch events of any size
Corporate wellness days and team celebrations
The late night pick me up moment at weddings, when the dance floor needs a second wind

If your event has a morning or an early evening lull, a nitro and matcha bar on Yoshi is one of the easiest ways to fill it with something guests actually talk about afterward.
Bar Two: Midday Cocktails Built for Balance
As the morning eased into early afternoon, the energy of the day shifted, and so did the bar. Our second beverage program was crafted specifically around midday nourishment, with recipes designed to support revitalization and hormone balance, front and center in every ingredient choice. Each drink was built to work as a full cocktail with Velo Vodka or as a mocktail, so every guest could choose their own experience without feeling like an afterthought. That kind of flexibility felt essential for a room full of women moving through very different wellness journeys that day.

We used Remedy Place main bar in the lobby and built the experience sit right alongside the heart of the afternoon programming, and honestly, that programming is what made it worth building at all. Guests were rotating through a Wellness Workshop with Livingstone Wellness, Mindful Conversations led by Inspired Journey Consulting, a Pelvic Floor Exercise session with Tethered Pelvic Health, and Ear Seeding from Acupuncture Center for Women. Our job was simple: make sure the drink in someone's hand felt like it belonged in the same conversation as ear seeding and pelvic floor education, not like it was competing with it.

These drinks were paired with an incredible lunch spread, once again from Edex Provisions, rounding out a stretch of the day built entirely around mind and body alignment. Genuinely, this was one of the best networking events we've ever been a part of, on either side of the bar. There is something about pairing real wellness education with a drink built to support how you actually feel that changes the entire energy of a room. People weren't just holding a cocktail and making small talk, they were showing up for themselves and for each other, and every vendor in that room, from the practitioners to the caterers to us, was pulling in the same direction.
Bar Three: The Afterparty at Lululemon Seaport

Just when you'd think the day was winding down, it found a second wind. The final stretch of Unbuttoned moved to Lululemon Seaport, where DJ Valentina set the tone for an afterparty that kept the room's energy climbing instead of fading. The whole space shifted from soft and reflective to bright and celebratory in a matter of minutes, and we wanted the bar to shift right along with it.

We built two more mocktails specifically for this portion of the day, crafted to keep everyone feeling bright and energized without pulling focus from the celebration itself or from DJ Valentina's set. Guests left with a sweet, personal touch too, custom engraved hair clips from W.Ink Calligraphy Engraved, care of Jen, who somehow made every single clip feel like it was made just for that guest. We may be biased, but ours might be our new favorite accessory. It was the perfect closing note to a day built almost entirely on the idea of taking something home with you, whether that was a new connection, a new practice, or literally a hair clip with your name on it.

A Gift Bag Worth Talking About

No wellness day is complete without something to carry home, and the gifting at Unbuttoned did not disappoint. Guests left with treats from Sweet Botanical Bakes, jewelry from Shop Airi, wellness essentials from Beekeepers Naturals, and pieces from Trycreate.
I need to be honest, I'm still thinking about those Sweet Botanical Bakes cookies. And the earrings I picked up from Shop Airi have not left my ears since. It is one thing to build a beverage program that supports a wellness day, it's another to leave with a gift bag that keeps that feeling going long after you have driven home. That's exactly what this lineup of gifting partners did.
Why This Day Worked
Unbuttoned worked because every vendor understood the assignment: this wasn't a wellness event with a bar bolted on, and it wasn't a party with a wellness theme slapped over it.

It was one continuous experience, built by a room full of people who all showed up to do their part well. Lune Flower Farm set the mood before anyone walked in. Kadeema Rentals and Edex Provisions made the space feel like a warm welcome instead of an event. Livingstone Wellness, Inspired Journey Consulting, Tethered Pelvic Health, and Acupuncture Center for Women gave the afternoon real substance. DJ Valentina and W.Ink Calligraphy Engraved sent everyone home on a high note. And through all of it, Katherine Donovan Photography and Caroline Carleton Socials made sure none of it was lost to memory alone.

Our job was to make sure the beverage program moved with all of it, unclipping a little more with every hour, right alongside the day itself. That's the kind of thinking we bring to every event we build, whether it's an intimate baby shower in Newport, a corporate wellness day in the Seaport, or a full wedding weekend on the Cape.

If you're planning something in coastal Massachusetts or Rhode Island and want a bar program that actually understands the emotional shape of your day, not just what's in the glass, we'd love to talk. We work everywhere from Peabody to Provincetown, throughout Greater Boston and the South Shore, and across Rhode Island.
